Los premios Grammy, los más importantes de la industria musical de Estados Unidos, regresarán en 2019 a Los Ángeles, después que en 2018 celebren en Nueva York el 60 aniversario de estos galardones.
La Academia de la Grabación informó hoy por medio de un comunicado que el Staples Center de la ciudad californiana acogerá la 61 gala de los Grammy en 2019 como parte de un acuerdo de cuatro años firmado por la institución y la promotora de espectáculos AEG.
El presidente de la Academia de la Grabación, Neil Portnow, señaló que consideran que el Staples Center es como “su casa” y añadió que en el futuro esperan seguir celebrando los Grammy en “la capital mundial del entretenimiento”.
La institución anunció el pasado mayo que la 60 gala de los Grammy tendrá lugar en Nueva York el 28 de enero de 2018 y que será retransmitida por la cadena CBS.
La británica Adele fue la gran vencedora de los galardones en su 59 edición al llevarse cinco premios, entre ellos los tres principales del evento: mejor álbum (“25”) y mejor grabación y canción (“Hello”).
